Ok, I got it
Recent Events
I have been very busy in recent months, in talks with various schools and organisations about running angling courses for them and the Environment Agency so we could set up some "taster session" coaching events in Essex.

There are now 6 events running through the holidays, but you can find out about that on another page on here.

Well, things have been hectic, fishing various rivers around the south of England and several lakes. Teaching to a wide variety of people of all ages, from 3 to 91.

That's the great thing about angling, there are no boundaries to inclusion.

I have coached the use of   Centrepin to a few people wanting to trot a river for the first time on rivers as diverse as the Eden in Kent, the Lower Itchen at Eastleigh, the Ouse in Sussex and   the Avon at Salisbury.

We have fished lakes ranging from tiny muddy puddles catching small carp every 2 minutes to fishing 48 acre gravel pits for large carp, where you could be waiting a long time to get a bite.

I took 2 people to Beaver Farm Fishery in Surrey fishing for Catfish, we had 3 a trip from 12lb to 30lb. I have also fished Beaver for Carp a couple of times this year and had fish to upper doubles, the bigger fish eluded us.

I have been running a course for the ISS at Rayleigh, teaching a group of 6 lads to fish, a course for Connexions at Basildon for 6 lads and have 3 more sorted out for the new school year.

I am now in the process of sorting out a club for youngsters to come to for angling coaching and educating on the environment, this will be up and running soon I hope.

We are now at the time of year when the Angling Trust and the Professional Anglers Association are running their coaching events all over the Uk, a lot of the time in conjunction with the E.A.

I have already worked at Ringwood in the New Forest for Christchurch Angling Society at Moores Valley Country Park, a fantastic venue, though the fishing was extremely poor as the area of the lake I was at was very shallow.

Gilwell Park at Chingford, where I got to meet up with a few of the coaches I got to know last year. We have a few more days coming up at Gilwell, next one is July 11th from 9.00 to 4.00.

I will update again soon

in the meantime, fish well and be safe
